Time for a Reality Check. And let's get straight to the point, because I like to tell the truth and – as my arch-enemy, the creative director of reactionary populism, says – “I say what I have to say, no matter who it hurts!”. But listen, leave the populism and demagoguery out of here, because I am quite democratic. My only radicalism is, and always will be, honesty.
Let's lay our cards on the table. Nowadays, all it takes is a click and a couple of well-tuned prompts for Artificial Intelligence to spit out a flashy logo or perfectly polished text, with the right adjectives, three, usually, a long bar, and a meticulously designed "journey" that is visibly replicated on every digital screen. The technology is impressive and, I admit, has its share of magic. But when everyone starts sounding and communicating the same way, perhaps it's time to ask: where did the difference go?
Branding is an act of maieutics , the philosophical method of Socrates based on the idea of the "art of giving birth," or an "intellectual birth," in this case, a desire that already existed within you, but which needed human hands, strategy, and experience to be shaped and materialized.
Generating solutions is easy. The hard part is knowing which problem really needs solving. And that's where AI comes in. Intuition distinguishes, and Diana solves (A Diana Resolve, in portuguese).
WHAT GPT DOESN'T GIVE YOU
While automated generators inhabit the predictable universe of pixels, my process is organic, electric, visceral, erratic in its search, surgical in its delivery, and full of soul. When I immerse myself in a project, I enter a kind of creative trance, hyperfocus takes over, ideas begin to intersect, references gain new interpretations, and of course, I always lose track of time. It's a state of immersion that no machine can replicate.
Technology also lacks the insight to read your hesitations, and it doesn't understand what you yourself haven't yet managed to verbalize in a briefing .
Creating is more than just putting pieces together on Canva. Often, it stems from a restlessness or an unlikely association where reason hasn't even managed to arrive yet.
What I have that AI doesn't have to give you:
Customized empathy: your business isn't a mass-produced mold. It demands active listening, attention to detail, and deserves to stay away from pre-made formulas.
Design with main character energy: that inexplicable creative spark, the unusual and intentional detail that makes people stop scrolling.
Aura Farming Strategy: Design conceived for the real world, that engages with real people, and not just search engine robots or algorithm feeders.
